I for one think a digital reverb sounds better. Seems like they learned their lesson and switched to digital on their newer amps. By the time they get shipped from China to Vietnam to the UK to the US to your house, they are likely to fall off. It's not really Marshall's quality control as much as these Accutronics reverb tanks are made in china with fragile wires. It's just amazing that the same problem seems to be universal with this production run. I'm not sure I can fix myself but I am certainly reluctant to spend $30-$40 to fix a $14 reverb tank. I'm assuming this is a quality control problem at the plant during that production year? I had a 2011 version a couple years ago, reverb worked fine. I pulled the tank and the EXACT same black wire is not connected just like in the OP's picture. I've briefly owned a MA head a couple years ago and thought I'd check it out again since it was a decent price. I just bought the MA100H with matching M412 cabinet this weekend for $350. Just found the forum while searching for solutions/information for an MA100H. Just drill down through the reverb tanks section and you'll find a 9" tolex reverb tank bag that should do the trick for you. They have all sorts of cool stuff including reverb tank bags. Yea, it should be easy enough to solder, just wasn't originally sure if it would take the heat well, but my iron is only 40 watts anyway.Ĭheck out the following site. Much much much easier than the last solder job I did (installing old EMG actives).Ĭrunchifyable wrote:Good to hear that I can just solder the broken wire. Just had to strip off the heatshrink to reveal the tip of the metal connector, strip the end of the broken wire, tin the connector, and solder. Did you make your reverb bag or did you buy one.Įdit: and it was super easy to fix. Actually just having any reverb would be great. Txslowhand, a bag for my reverb? Do I use paper or plastic? That sounds like an interesting idea. So in this case it seems easier to just fix it myself :) Yea, it should be easy enough to solder, just wasn't originally sure if it would take the heat well, but my iron is only 40 watts anyway.Īs far as I know, if I wanted it taken care of under warranty, I'd have pay to ship it back to the place I bought it, which would probably cost as much if not more than a new reverb tank and who knows if the reverb would still work by the time the replacement got shipped back across the country. If you need two pedals, please let me know and I will list another on eBay for you and I can usually also combine shipping costs on two pedals. Two of these can be used, one for Channel Switching and another for Reverb. Good to hear that I can just solder the broken wire. You may also use this Single Button Pedal to switch the Reverb On/Off.
